Alternatively, complete the Waiting List Form at the bottom of the page.
What will I need for the Clydesdale Colts?
What do I need to get started? (N.B. this is important)
What does it cost?
The fees for the colts are £12 per month, paid by direct debit. This covers the Saturday session at Chatelherault, RollerWednesday sessions for extra training, Summer Time Trials (for older riders) and Friday Land Training if your young rider wants to take part.
What are the benefits?
The club uses some of the funds to maintain a fleet of bikes and equipment which is available for member to use when they require. We also try to create relationships with bicycle suppliers to make purchasing bikes easier.
Some of these suppliers are :
KIDS RACING - children’s cycling clothes, kids trisuits, cycle shoes, triathlon wetsuits, Cyclocross & Winter clothing

- A mountain bike will do, or a road bike (but any kind of bike will do to start). The bike must be in good working condition.
- A CE approved helmet IS required to ride with the Clydesdale Colts. This is for your safety!
- Clothing that is not baggy, so as not to get stuck in a bike chain and wheels. Special cycle clothing is more suitable. As a member of the Clydesdale Colts, our club kit will be available in due course at subsidised prices.
- Training shoes, with laces fastened tight and tucked in. If you have cycling shoes to fasten into your pedals, these can be used.
- Some form of gloves to protect your hands.
- For winter sessions, you will need warm and waterproof clothing.
- Permission from your parents or guardian to take part. We will ask for 'parental consent' as part of the Membership form.
